Christmas...no wait Thanksgiving!!

Wait...isn't Thanksgiving first?

Its here my crafty peeps! Halloween is done, and the holiday shopping season has begun! Even though Christmas is more than a month away, it seems to be all I see when going out to shop. Or even lately through my custom orders. Its perfectly fine when you are a crafter to see christmas/holiday themed items in the craft stores, but I am having a hard time dealing with the rest of the general shopping places making the holidays throw up on you the second you walk into the store. Some of us actually still celebrate and love the fall season...like Thanksgiving for example. At the rate we are going it could very well be renamed Holiday Sale Day.
So in my attempt to keep with the holiday schedule according to my calender and not the general shopping public. I have added some additional "fall" like items to my shop!

Green pearl bracelet

Fashioned to resemble Art Nouveau and victorian designs. These two subtle colors give a calming effect and compliment most any outfit.

3mm and 6mm glass pearls in champagne and forest green Art nouveau style slide and center piece. Has green faceted crystals inlaid in green toned metal plaque.
Fits 6-8 inch wrist with adjustable chain clasp.

Healing antique copper Necklace

Beautiful copper necklace with triangle shaped copper pendant dangle a reclaimed turquoise stone. Copper can help with blood flow and other ailments such as copper deficiency.

Item details:
2 1/4 inch copper pendant
Copper tubes
faceted copper/clear glass beads
curb link chain.
24 inches in necklace length.

***As jewelry, copper will last a lifetime or longer, when cared for properly. Occasionally, copper jewelry or the skin of its wearer can turn green. This happens when the metal interacts with sweat and is referred to as copper chelates. The chelates assimilate to the body and are absorbed, and many wearers expect this to happen as proof that the copper is working with their body. Green coloring on the skin comes off with soap and water, and polishing copper jewelry is as easy as finding an acidic item in the kitchen.

Copper and red circle chandelier pendant

Simple yet satisfying. Ringing in the Edwardian era this necklace, oozes modern chic!

Copper chain is fine and delicate, holds a 1 inch circle chandelier pendant. 3mm swarovski crystals in a deep red color dangle in singles from the pendant.
Accented with bronze faceted beads and bi cone vibrant red glass beads.

Wiccan and Pagan Pieces handmade just for you.

This week I thought I would share with you the newest pieces in my wicca collection.

Amber Luster Pentacle

Beautiful amber luster stone nugget is wrapped in silver and adorning this non traditional pentacle necklace of purple silk cloth and silver hoop chain.

Snowy Quartz aka White quartzite is accented with silver flower spacers to add elegance and silver for magickal properties. Not your average necklace with a front heart shaped closure.

Are you Military? Send me a message to receive a special coupon code for 15% off your total purchase! Minimum purchase of $10.00 required.

Silver Triquetra tigers eye and black onyx

Black and brown coming together like never before. Stunning tigers eye and black onyx stone beads line up in this protection necklace.

Black onyx can give the wearer strength, good luck, and clarity. Tigers Eye can give the wearer protection, intuition, and courage. Both of these stones work together to give the wearer a sense of calm and protection. For added color balance and additional stone work, I have added snowy quartz or aka white quartzite and silver pieces as well.
The triquetra is the most common symbol associated with protection and extremely common in celtic lore and culture.

       Bronze Wiccan Pentacle

An earthly style bronze pentacle is your centerpiece and your guide to the Goddess and God.

Earth elemental colors help ground the wearer while working.

As the soul provider of all our needs. Earth represents sensations, decay, patience, stability, strength, health, warmth and comfort, animals and animal instincts, as well as farming and physical labor.  Two small flower copper beads bring the earth element its renewal and fuel. The three champagne amber glass beads represent the sand of the earth, as well as bring a bit of color and sparkle to your necklace.
There is a small flying bird with a dark amber swarovski crystal over the pentacle. Birds are unique to me as I am partial to the Air element but was born into the earth element. I find that they can carry your messages easily. This bird can help you carry your messages to the Goddess.

Brazilian agate crystal slice necklace, with snowy quartz

Creamy latte to soft grey colors are swirling throughout this wonderful slice of agate with tiny crystals jutting out inside the middle. Accented with two small purple swarovski crystals.
Wire wrapped pendant comes on a small leather cord, with two snowy quartz stone beads that are 8mm in size.

The pendant measures approx 2 ix1 inches.
Agate slice is polished smooth on both sides and wrapped with silver plated artist wire. 22mm.
While worn this necklace is 23 inches. Screw on type closure for no loss of necklace.

Agates have been traditionally used in healing for many centuries. Uses are endless with this stone.

Catching up

It isn't easy getting things started, and even harder to keep things maintained! I can't believe the amount of time I have spent sitting infront of this darn screen, just promoting myself! By the time I'm done doing that and crafting and picking up the crafting mess that always seems never ending....I remember my little blog! Which I have sadly ignored the past month!
Fall Festival in Leominster MA

So here's whats new: I recently attended my first craft fair, and did fairly well considering the itty bitty factor!
Took a little bit of time off to reconnect with my family, especially my little ones! My boys are my driving force to be successful and love what I do.

Been crafting like an over caffeinated squirrel on a past deadline winter stock up! Tons of new items and even more still to come.

I kept getting asked about my wiccan items while I was at the craft fair, so I decided it was time to really get back into the style of crafting that best suits me! Not let what I think people want drive my creativity. But make whatever it is that I happen to fancy at the particular moment.

Here are just a few of the newest items:
Snowy quartz and amber luster pentacle

Well thats all for now! I think I can manage this closing
and check back tomorrow!
As always I will be snagged in wire and beads

Beautiful amber luster stone nugget is wrapped in silver and adorning this non traditional pentacle necklace of purple silk cloth and silver hoop chain.

Snowy Quartz aka White quartzite is accented with silver flower spacers to add elegance and silver for magickal properties. Not your average necklace with a front heart shaped closure.

This necklace is cleansed with love and positive energy, but it is recommended that you charge these beads before prayer/divination.

Am I ever going to make it?

Everybody knows you start out slowly when it comes to business ventures. But why does it have to suck along the way? I seem to be asking myself about this a lot lately.
People come by your page, they browse, possibly favorite an item, or not, and they still don't buy? I get so excited when I see my shop stats and see I have great viewing numbers, and then I see no revenue or sales.... that's the suck part.
Hopefully some day soon I will start making some better progress in my shop.

DreamCatcher Designs Etsy Shop

I just wish people would stop asking me "why aren't your items selling ?", or "oh your jewelry is so beautiful I don't know why no one has bought much". Its one of those situations where you just want to say HEY, if you like its SO MUCH then buy it! AGH!!

I mean take for example this lovely gem right here. Its a great piece, and a fantastic price.
Autumn Orange Bracelet

But I am way to nice for my own good, to be rude to my friends like that... right? Or do I say those things as a business owner to promote myself?

So the question remains am I ever going to make it?
I guess we will find out!
