In all the years I have been crafting...pretty much my whole life! Creating things has been my place to go to when I need a break from reality.
I am a self taught jewelry designer and crocheter. My goal in life is to share the healing capabilities that our culture has long since forgotten. We all put forth energy and receive it. I put happy and loving energy into all of my pieces. Creating pieces whether it is a crocheted scarf , or a bracelet its healing for the mind, body and soul. Inspiritu latin for inspirit means to infuse life, courage and healing into an object. This used to be a long held tradition throughout many cultures, and is still practiced in many. When I discovered how much I enjoyed creating and how much I loved bringing joy to people I discovered inspiritu. My daily life is often very hectic and at times stressful. As stay at home of not one, but two high functioning autistic (aspergers) boys there can be days that my craft/office looks very inviting. A very good friend and my former physician once told me, "you need a hobby, it will help alleviate the stress you are going through".So I took her advice and began crocheting again and fell in love with the craft all over again. It provided escape when I needed a moment or two to breathe. I still look back on that conversation, still no words can describe the gratitude I have for it. Now I look to my "hobby" of crocheting and jewelry creating for guidance into patience. Its a form of meditation for me, where I can heal myself and put forth positive healing energy for my inspirit jewelry and crocheted items.Healing can come in any form its where it takes you along the way that is the joy.
